In modern Turkish, the derived form “SAĞILMIŞ” refers to something that has been milked, often used to describe milk-bearing animals or milked products. > The fact that this word is written on a barrel or container depicted on this page indicates the nature of the vessel’s contents. While we cannot yet confirm that the container holds milk, it can certainly be said to contain a liquid. This instance has also been documented by us as one of the drawing–word correspondences found within the content of the Voynich Manuscript.
